Migrantes Unidos Updates  Last month, Migrantes Unidos held an appreciation picnic to thank allies for their protest support on April 24th and to spend time in community with one another. As we continue to build relationships and adjust the way we do justice-driven work, we are continuing to invite others to support our journey of growth through small events like these. ***** Así es como se ve la comunidad! El mes pasado, Migrantes Unidos organizó un picnic para reconocer y agradecer los aliados por su apoyo con la protesta que fue realizada el 24 de abril y para pasar tiempo en comunidad con todos. Policy Update / La Actualización de las Políticas After three years of irrevocable harm, Title 42 finally ended on May 11. IFCLA celebrates the end of Title 42, a cruel and racist expulsion policy that violated U.S. asylum laws. However, despite the end of Title 42, President Biden has implemented new policies that continue to put migrants at risk and restrict their ability to seek safety and protection. Ending Title 42 was necessary, but relying on ramping up punitive enforcement, detention, and surveillance in its place is not. IFCLA celebra el fin del Título 42, una política de expulsión cruel y racista que violaba las leyes de asilo de los Estados Unidos. Accompaniment Efforts / Programa de Acompañamiento In an effort to connect asylum seekers and other immigrants in St. Louis with necessary resources, IFCLA has created a Resource and Services Guide in Spanish. In the future, we hope to be able to translate this document into other languages. ***** En un esfuerzo por poner en contacto a les solicitantes de asilo y otres inmigrantes de San Luis con los recursos necesarios, IFCLA creó una Guía de Recursos y Servicios en español. En el futuro, esperamos poder traducir este documento a otros lenguajes. |

Because of various forces, we have been short on volunteers and overall accompaniment efforts. To ensure that all compas are able to take advantage of our service, we are looking for more volunteers. ISPN General Meeting / Reunión General de ISPN The Immigrant Service Providers Network is meeting on June 28 at 9am. The ISPN's monthly general meetings focus on bringing service providers together to connect and participate in cross-collaborative work. The Immigrant Service Providers Network (ISPN) hosts its meetings the fourth Wednesday of the month.
