| Accompaniment Efforts / Programa de Acompañamiento During recent accompaniments, some compas have been asked to visit ISAP immediately after their appointments with ICE, in the same day/visit. This new change could mean that some compas’ initial accompaniments will require visiting both ICE and ISAP in one visit moving forward. When this is necessary, our Co-Accompaniment Coordinator, Ángel Flores Fontánez, will include those details in the emails to accompaniment volunteers. As usual, volunteers can let us know their availability for these longer accompaniments. |
| | Durante acompañamientos recientes, ICE ha ordenado a algunes compas a visitar inmediatamente las instalaciones de ISAP luego de sus citas en ICE, todo en el mismo día/visita. Este nuevo cambio podría significar que los acompañamientos iniciales de algunes compas requerirán visitar tanto a ICE como a ISAP en el mismo día de ahora en adelante. Through these clinics, we have the opportunity to walk alongside compas as they navigate the immigration process. | | | Conociendo La Migra The imperialistic intervention of the US in Central America, and the impunity against those responsible, has contributed immensely to the socioeconomic conditions that produce migration to the US. In the 3rd edition of Conociendo La Migra on June 15, from 6:30-8pm, we will discuss some key events in order to understand the relationship between the flow of immigrants from Central America and the international policy of the US. We will also speak about present day resistance movements and how we can join in solidarity. The event will be through zoom. Register here. The ISPN's monthly general meetings focus on bringing service providers together to connect and participate in cross-collaborative work.
