want Alex Garcia to be put on a Pathway to Citizenship

Dear President Biden,

I am writing to ask that, within your first 100 days in office, your administration grant Parole for Alex Garcia (A#078-176-440). Alex has spent the last 39 months living in fear of deportation in a Sanctuary church in St. Louis, MO. Alex has been in limbo for so many years; please treat his case with urgency. 

Alex’s case can easily be resolved: he was ordered deported more than 20 years ago when he first arrived in the United States from Honduras at the age of 19. Like many others, Alex was heading to Houston where hoped to find work, build a better life for himself, and continue supporting his aging parents and younger siblings who remained in Honduras. He missed his stop on the train and instead, landed in a small town in the Bootheel of Missouri called Poplar Bluff. 

On that rainy day, he stumbled off the train and into a Mexican restaurant where he asked for work so that he could eat. He was hired immediately and was accepted into the community for his hard-working and generous attitude. About 5 years later Alex met the love of his life, Carly, and in 2010 they were married. His wife, along with all of Alex’s children, are U.S. citizens. 

Since September 2017, Alex has been separated from his family and forced to take sanctuary in a church while working for a solution that enables him to be the father and husband his family so desperately needs. 

The immigration system is so complex, but Alex’s situation is an opportunity to make a difference in so many people’s lives. I urge you to please, within your first 100 days in office, grant Alex Garcia (A#078-176-440) parole in place so that he can finally become an American citizen.
